Katie Taylor Seeks Chantelle Cameron Bout to Save Dublin Date

Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor has been looking for a new opponent since Amanda Serrano withdrew from their scheduled bout due to injury. Taylor is set to fight on her home turf in Dublin on May 20, and has expressed her desire to fight Chantelle Cameron for Cameron’s undisputed junior welterweight titles.

The fight between Taylor and Cameron is now official and will take place at the 3Arena in Dublin. The bout will be for Cameron’s titles and will require Taylor to move up in weight to the super-lightweight division. This will be Taylor’s first fight since her split decision victory over Serrano in April 2022.

Cameron herself has expressed excitement for the fight, saying β€œIt feels surreal that the fight is actually happening,” It feels like my whole professional career has been based around this fight and I never imagined it would actually happen for one reason or another.

This fight between two of the best pound-for-pound female boxers in the world is expected to draw a large crowd to the 3Arena in Dublin. Taylor has a boxing record of 22-0 with 6 knockouts, while Cameron is undefeated with a record of 17-0 with 8 knockouts.
