Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Aaron Chalmers: exhibition fight set for February 25th in London

On February 25th, 2023, former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr will take on reality television personality Aaron Chalmers in an exhibition match at London’s O2 Arena. The bout will take place over eight rounds in the middleweight division, with a weight limit of 160 pounds.

Mayweather Jr, known for his impressive undefeated record of 50 wins and 27 knockouts, will step into the ring with a significant advantage over Chalmers, who has a record of 1 win and 0 draws. The older Mayweather Jr also boasts more experience in the ring, having made his professional debut in 1996. Both fighters will fight out of an orthodox stance.

Mayweather Jr’s recent performances have been impressive, with three of his last five opponents being stopped. The exhibition against Chalmers will be a chance for Mayweather Jr to showcase his skills once again, as this match will not count towards either fighter’s professional record.

The fight was originally set to be against veteran Muay Thai champion Liam Harrison, but he pulled out due to injury and the need for surgery. The fighters are expected to ringwalk at around 10:00 PM GMT at the O2 Arena, London.

This exhibition match is not just about the fight itself, but also about the entertainment factor. Chalmers, who has appeared on shows such as “Geordie Shore” and “Ex on the Beach,” brings a different element to the ring than a traditional fighter would. It will be interesting to see how this match plays out and what kind of show the two fighters put on for the fans.
